Kate Bevan is a UK artist based in Sheffield.

Whether painting flowers or more abstract pieces, her paintings are a direct response to her life as she explores what it means to be a woman, mother & eternal optimist. Stripes and flowers remain a common motif across her visual work, each painting can be read as a document of how Kate negotiates the lived experience of going through change and prioritising seeing the world through a joyful lens.

The theme of human identity and search for self-discovery underpin her exploratory process of form, colour, and emotion— the freehand line work in her paintings symbolise reacting the change, rolling with the punches and embracing the fact that life is not perfect but can still be beautiful.

Sharing positive messages and joy through her use of colour she is most inspired by the way the colours interact with one another on the canvas and bringing joy into peoples homes.

Kate loves working on unique pieces, please get in contact if you are interested in a private commission.
